The Shih Tzu temperament is outgoing, happy
and friendly. They are very alert and like to bark a lot which
can make them effective watch dogs. The breed is usually friendly
and lively and gets on very well with other dogs.
Shihs respond well to dog training, which is
a necessary adjunct to keeping dogs as pets. Life with an
obedient Shih Tzu will be a lot more rewarding than keeping
a disobedient one.
